ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Professional, accident-free operation of the forklift, and the precise keeping of the forklift inspections.Systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forkliftContinuous tracking of the location of goods during material handling using WMS. Use the WMSystem accordingly and ensure accurate data entry.Perform any other manual job at the direction of the warehouse supervisor or team lead (e.g. sampling, inventory, cleaning)Keep the warehouse clean and tidyDuring the seed delivery and return season : ensure proper (loading and unloading) of transport vehicles with quality packages to meet customer expectationsMaintain safety standards - initiate & follow emergency procedures when necessaryPREFFERED EXPERIENCE
Prior forklift experience is preferredSKILLS
Ability to count accurately when moving inventoryAbility to read scalesAbility to multi-task and detailed orientedBeing alert and aware when driving the forklift in a safe mannerAbility to communicate and work by yourself or with a teamAbility to work in tighter, confined spaces with a forkliftQUALIFICATIONS / BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
Pass a background check and other pre-employment screeningsHave reliable transportation to the site and be able to arrive at the work site as instructed.Maintain enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty and a willingness to treat all with respectOperates fork lift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials in warehouse area. Follows regulatory requirements. May require certification. May use technology (PCs, scanners, etc.) to complete job tasks.
