On-Board Companies, a leading provider of on-site contract services, is seeking an experienced Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to join its Cypress, CA location. As part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team at our client's High Temperature Composites Facility, you will play a critical role in providing production standards and inputs necessary for planning and improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, operations, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. A degree in a relevant field is preferred, but not required if accompanied by sufficient industry experience.
In this position, you will support the Operations businesses by observing, collecting, and analyzing production processes, equipment, and resources. You will also work closely with the Manufacturing Engineering community to provide productivity assessments of proposed capability acquisitions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintenance of Production Standard Times for manufactured components and assemblies within the facilities is another key responsibility. Additionally, you will develop tools and models to calculate takt times, production standards, changeover recommendations, batch sizes, and associated metrics to help support delivery schedules.
