Compensation: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour
POSITION TITLE: Packaging Team Member
REPORTS TO: 1st Shift Supervisor
POSITION CONCEPT: The Packaging Team Member will perform a variety of rotating duties involving product inspection and packaging operations. This entails utilizing inspection equipment and making quality-driven decisions based on inspection outcomes. Additionally, responsibilities include assembling, loading, and boxing products within a team setting, along with maintaining batch record documents to ensure compliance and traceability standards are met.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct inspection of devices to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify any defects, discrepancies, or irregularities in the products and report them to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure that batch records are complete, legible, and compliant with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Package devices according to prescribed procedures and specifications, including inserting devices into packaging materials and arranging them appropriately.
- Box packaged devices according to shipping requirements, including labeling, sealing, and preparing boxes for shipment.
- Conduct quality checks on packaged devices to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with packaging standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of packaging tasks.
- Communicate any concerns, suggestions, or ideas for process improvement to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in other areas of the manufacturing process as needed, including mixing, dip line, demolding, batch processing, and shipping.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of production tasks.
- Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions for all assigned tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in packaging, assembly, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and standards accurately.
- Ability to accurately document batch processing activities and maintain organized records.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines rigorously.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods.
