Key Responsibilities
- Working from requirements and guidance from the Engineering team, generate new, innovative, and cost-effective designs for the Client team.
- Communicate with engineers, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure that CAD models, drawings and documents accurately depict the necessary data.
- Create and maintain solid models of designs.
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials and estimates.
- Review critical design aspects, dimensions, finishing, and drawing standards.
- Maintain system and product database by entering data.
- Provide guidance to vendor selection and production activities.
- Be active in evaluating designs and confirming that the hardware meets requirements.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Performs difficult design layout.
- May specify equipment and components.
- Familiar with and applies standards.
- Capable of all required engineering calculations.
- May guide and assist designer / systems designers and check work of others.
- Keeps current with latest technical developments in his/her discipline.
- Completes all assignments in a timely manner, within budget and with the highest level of quality.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Technical School Program and a minimum of 5 years project experience.
- Experience in specific engineering discipline projects is required.
- Must be familiar with industry standards.
- Familiar with MS Office Suite.
- Must have experience in working with a multi-functional project team.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D CAD Software(s). Good organizational skills and ability to understand and follow directions
- Experience working in partnership with suppliers and vendors
- Experience presenting designs to customers
