We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) who is a team player with a current registration and excellent communication skills.
Job Summary:
- The Geriatric Registered Nurse (RN) in a long-term care setting provides comprehensive nursing care to elderly residents, focusing on maintaining and improving their quality of life. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans, managing chronic conditions, and providing compassionate support to residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Assessment and Care Planning:
- Conduct thorough geriatric assessments, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, addressing residents' specific needs and preferences.
- Regularly evaluate and update care plans to reflect changes in residents' conditions.
- Medication Management:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects.
- Ensure accurate medication documentation.
- Chronic Disease Management:
- Manage chronic conditions common in older adults, such as dementia, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
- Monitor vital signs and assess residents' overall health status.
- Implement interventions to prevent complications and promote well-being.
- Wound Care and Infection Control:
- Provide wound care and prevent pressure ulcers.
- Implement infection control measures to minimize the spread of illness.
- Monitor residents for signs and symptoms of infection.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Document resident information accurately and timely.
- Emotional Support and End-of-Life Care:
- Provide emotional support and address residents' psychosocial needs.
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care and support to residents and families.
- Helping with activities of daily living.

Open Shifts:
Day Shift (8 hour shift) 0.7
Evening Shift (8 hour shift) 0.5
Night Shift (8 hour shift) 0.6
We do have FT 12 hour shifts, 7am to 7pm, or 7pm to 7am.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license
12-HOUR PREMIUM PAY POSITION - Earn $6/hour on top of base wage!
- Three 12-hour shifts/week to include every other weekend (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am)
- Receive an additional $6/hour on top of your base wage!!
