New Day Recovery is a premier treatment center in Niles, Ohio, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to individuals on their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant for our inpatient facility. Our kitchen and support staff play a vital role in our clients' success by preparing nutritious and appetizing meals that help ease withdrawal symptoms and bring joy without the use of drugs or alcohol.
We would love to talk to you and hope you will apply! This is a full-time position, working five days a week with hours varying from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Please note that this role requires working on holidays and weekends, as we are open 365 days a year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in food inventory and control to assure health and safety standards associated with food preparation and serving
- Assist with the preparation of meals and snacks in accordance with recipes
- Serve meals and prepare snacks as required
- Ensure cleanliness of kitchen, dining, beverage, food service areas, and dining areas
- Maintain kitchen, dietary, and service areas in an uncluttered, safe manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma/GED equivalent and 18 years of age
- Previous work experience in food service preferable
- Physical abilities to perform repetitive motions such as bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, and lifting of objects up to 25 lbs.

- Demonstrate the ability to follow directions as well as work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate the ability to operate and maintain equipment utilized within the kitchen department
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and clients to maintain a customer-oriented environment
