Technical advisors exercise execution responsibility for the completion of assigned projects on time, under budget, in complete conformance with client and company plans, specifications and other contract documents and to the total satisfaction of the client.
Essential Functions :
- Technical representation in the field and office as required for the development and execution of steam blows, air blows, high velocity flushing, pulse flushing, chemical cleaning and other industrial services.
- Project site management of equipment and material inventory.
- Direct client interaction and advisement on project status.
- Client craft labor interaction for equipment hookup and verification of that.
- Hookup design modifications as required based upon unique site conditions.
- Accurate documentation of field activities in project job log.
- Timely communication with home office.
- Frequently travel to projects for longer periods.
- Other duties as assigned.

The technical advisor is an integral component to a successfully executed and profitable business. Contributions to company profit include; efficient designs using to the greatest extent possible available inventory, staying within project budget constraints, maintaining established product that will perpetuate our future business relationship with our clients.
Other performance measures include; proactive conformance with company administrative and reporting requirements, maintenance of superior customer relationships and company standards for quality and customer service as determined by client satisfaction surveys and the completion of assigned projects without dispute.
Additional Notes :
Mechanical TA candidates with hydrotesting, air blowing and pigging backgrounds, Stationary Engineer / Boiler Operators and pipe fitters may be a good fit. Bi-lingual candidates are a plus. Must be able to read P&ID's.
Work will be in power plants, refineries, paper mills, boiler rooms and most industrial settings. The job requires extensive travel with the majority in the US but there may be limited travel in Mexico and Canada.
Work will be with dewatering pumps, centrifugal pumps, electric pumps and performing lube oil flushes. TA’s will download and set up equipment and oversee craft workers. There may be an occasional need to turn wrenches. TA will perform pre-job, daily and end of job walk downs. Monitor RPM's, check fluid levels on the pumps. Work with clients, contractors and craft.
