What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at On Line Design, Inc.?
On Line Design is looking for a full-time contract Data Analyst and Project Manager, in Melville, NY to support a large global CPG client. In this role, you will work as a valued member of the Value Realization and Optimization (VRO) team to conduct data analysis, project management support, and facilitation for VRO projects.
You will need a minimum of 1-2 years of working experience with Excel, Python, and Power BI to achieve the daily responsibilities of this job. This is a 6-month contract role with opportunity for an extension of the contract. Due to the nature of the work and will need to live locally, with the ability to commute to Melville as there will be a need to attend on-site meetings and assist with product projects for the team to analyze.
Must be U.S. Authorized.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the execution of cost/risk initiatives, requalification’s of OTC products, production transfers, and processing support for business needs.
- Support and deliver enterprise-wide value creation projects encompassing cost, sustainability, and process optimization initiatives utilizing data analytics and proven methodologies.
- Drive efficient value delivery (Ideation workshops, Lean/CI, and Project Management), and robust collaboration across the E2E Engineering Group, Supply Chain, R&D, and Brands.
- Assist key supply chain value creation partners with global supply chain manufacturing facilities and distribution centers.
- Deliver cost savings through product modification, process optimization, and innovation.
- Effectively collaborate with technical and commercial functions including Marketing, Plant Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Project Management Office, and Product Development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in engineering, business, or finance, or another technical discipline
- 1-2 years of data analytics work experience is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of basic statistics, Python, PowerBI, MS Excel, MS Access, and PowerPoint is necessary.
- Strong organizational skills are a must.
- Ability to recognize evolving business needs, anticipate issues & develop plans to address.
- Experience with machine learning is desired.
- Knowledge of supply chain is a plus. Supply chain encompasses manufacturing process, equipment usage and manufacturing environment within Personal care / Beauty industry or adjacent industry.
