On Plane is looking for a dedicated and resourceful person interested in expanding their knowledge of human resources. This full-time position will have the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and experience in a variety of HR areas, such as compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, training, and development, and more. On Plane leaders will help to coach, guide, and mentor this individual throughout different projects. This job is very hands-on and will provide the opportunity to see many different sides of HR and what goes into running a small business. This role is intended to be an entry point to larger roles in the consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage People Process Audit (PPA) process for new clients; Improve and update process; ensure comprehensive project plan; Enhance tools and report out
- Oversee HR on Call and compliance related concerns for current clients
- Respond to/manage questions and issues across clients related to:
- Handbook and Policy interpretation/questions
- Employee relations/discipline
- Leader Coaching and feedback
- Onsite support for employee relations
- Payroll and Benefits questions
- Onboarding new employees
- Exit/term process
- Develop/manage tracking process for ER questions/issues
- Develop processes and tools to support client engagements
- Employee Handbook and Policies
- Hiring, Performance, Discipline, Offboarding, etc tools and templates
- Project Management
- Manage key people processes as part of client HR roadmap (e.g. benefits renewal, annual performance review, etc)
- Mentor/Coach On Plane team members
- Help develop HR functional expertise and confidence with HR policy/compliance and employee relations matters
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Knowledgeable of HR compliance and federal laws
- Proficient in Outlook and Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, with an exceptional attention to detail
- Effective project and task management skills; experience with project management tools (e.g. Click Up, Monday.com, Trello)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced day-to-day environment with the ability to pivot quickly
- Ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
- Ability to coach/mentor others
- High level of motivation, adaptability, and accountability
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in HR, Business, or related field
- 10 years in HR generalist role or related experience
- Experience with HRIS administration
- SHRM certified
- Ability to travel to clients up to 20% of time
