About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy in the AV production and live events industry. This is a high-impact role focused on increasing brand awareness, generating leads, and positioning our company as a premier partner for live event production and in-house audio-visual services. As the Marketing leader, you will develop and execute marketing initiatives, manage outsourced resources, and collaborate closely with sales and operations to drive growth.
This role is ideal for a hands-on marketing leader who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, understands the live events industry, and can balance strategy with execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Execute Marketing Strategy – Create and implement a marketing plan that aligns with business goals, focusing on brand positioning, demand generation, and client engagement.
- Lead Demand Generation & Lead Nurturing – Design and execute campaigns to attract event planners, agencies, and corporate clients through paid media, SEO, content, and targeted outreach.
- Manage Outsourced Marketing Resources – Oversee external agencies, freelancers, and consultants handling web development, design, digital advertising, and content creation.
- Content & Thought Leadership – Develop compelling content, case studies, and video assets showcasing our expertise in AV production for live events.
- Event Marketing & Industry Presence – Promote the company at trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events to strengthen brand awareness.
- Website & Digital Marketing Optimization – Ensure the company’s online presence effectively communicates our capabilities, drives traffic, and converts leads.
- Sales Enablement & Collateral – Develop sales tools, presentations, and proposal templates to support business development efforts. Analytics & Performance Tracking – Measure marketing performance, track ROI, and refine strategies based on data insights.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of marketing experience, preferably in AV production, live events, experiential marketing, or B2B services.
- Strong understanding of the live events industry, including corporate events, trade shows, and experiential activations.
- Proven track record of driving demand generation and business growth through digital and traditional marketing strategies.
- Experience managing outsourced marketing resources such as agencies, freelancers, and consultants.
- Expertise in content marketing, SEO, PPC, and social media.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo, or similar) and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong storytelling and brand-building skills with a deep understanding of the AV production buyer’s journey.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA a plus).
