PAID INTERNSHIP FOR ENTRY-LEVEL NON-EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER
On-Site Health & Safety is looking for people who are interested in exploring the world of occupational health and safety. Our corporate-sponsored internship program will pay for you to attend our Entry Level Field Technician Education and Training Program. Successful candidates will complete the program in 3 phases. Each phase requires you to graduate from each program and receive a passing score on a pass / fail scale. The program breakdown is as follows :
- Emergency Medical Responder Course :
Attend a 57 hour in-person class followed by 3 observation Ride-A-Longs.
If you successfully complete this process, you graduate to Field Technician Basic.Field Technician Basic Course :Attend a 40-hour hybrid online and in-person course and a 40-hour Ride-A-Long program where you will be graded and observed.
If you successfully complete this course you will continue to the development course.Development Course :Operate independently for 80 days. A member of the Training Academy will continue to observe and grade your performance and development. If you can pass all the criteria, a Mobile Field Technician job offer will be offered to you.

Commit to a paid 2-week Rapid Sequence EMR CourseCommit to a graded 90-day paid internship, including a 2-week in-house occupational health and safety course followed by a developmental 80-day plan.Education high school diploma or equivalentBe at least 18 years of ageMust be insurable by our motor vehicle insurance policyMust have at least a 3-5 year driving history. Driving history can be substituted to meet requirements by providing documented evidence from a certified driving school in defensive and safe driving training.
Must have no severe driving record “hits” including but not limited to aggressive driving, DUIs, excessive moving violations (speeding, running red lights, etc.)Pass a criminal background check, as permitted by lawPass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain compliance with job-specific drug testing / screening policy requirements.Must be able to articulate instructions clearly.Must be able to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs for extended periods.Must be willing and able to operate a motor vehicle for extended periods and long distances. On-Site Health & Safety conducts an extensive background check, which includes a motor vehicle driver’s license check. The insurance company and internal safety department review MVR records to determine if an applicant will be extended fleet driving privileges based on several risk factors, including previous negative “hits” on an MVR check, such as excessive moving violations, DUIs, reckless driving, etc. The search also considers a driver’s driving age / history.Applicants must meet the minimum requirements above to apply. On-Site Health & Safety offers of employment are contingent upon the successful outcome of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Due to the nature of On-Site Health & Safety services, employees may have access to federally funded or owned job sites / projects. As a result, all new hires and existing employees are subject to drug testing in a manner consistent with a federally compliant test. The test may include all substances that can be found in Department of Transportation-regulated tests. The timing of testing includes pre-employment, reasonable suspicion / reasonable cause, and return to duty.Some employees may be classified as having safety-sensitive positions. These positions are identified as Field Personnel, including Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, Field Training Specialists, and any variation of those job positions. These positions are also subject to post-accident and random testing.Due to the possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens or bodily fluids, immunization against hepatitis B is recommended.
