DESCRIPTION
As a Warehouse Manager/Backline Technician you will be responsible for the oversight of all assets flowing in and out of our Grand Rapids warehouse. This position requires real-time awareness and management of our ever-changing rental inventory’s current location, status, and condition. There will be cross over into other departments as workload fluctuates from month to month, including but not limited to answering phone calls, writing job quotes, scheduling and managing shop labor, and executing events on-site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL
· Preparing equipment for customer orders and internal equipment transfers
· Loading/unloading trucks and vans
· Driving company vehicles to events to deliver and pick up equipment
· Setup and teardown of backline equipment at shows
· Interactions with local crew
· Ability to learn and utilize our inventory management software “R2”
· Familiarity of physical inventory location in warehouse
· Willingness to react quickly to a request
· Willingness to travel on short notice
· Ability to communicate effectively with customers and OSS personnel
WAREHOUSE
· Utilize prep sheets and inventory software to pull equipment accurately and test thoroughly
· Scan barcodes to fill equipment orders
· Receive and barcode new inventory and models
· Work with our Operations Director to coordinate shop labor schedule and staffing during busy weeks
· Identify and address consumable items that are low, or parts needed for maintenance
· Identify all missing, damaged, or irregular equipment returning from jobs for remedy or bill-back
· Complete an annual inventory through our inventory management software
LOGISTICS
· Plan trucking solutions with management for scheduled shows
· Utilization of FedEx, Air Cargo and LTL freight services
· Receive incoming shipments such as sub rental equipment and other freight deliveries
· Prepare outgoing shipments such as sub rental equipment and other outbound freight
DAY TO DAY
· Pull equipment according to schedule to minimize or eliminate moving between jobs
· Stay up to date on present, past, and future rentals
· Looking ahead to identify and resolve potential availability conflicts
· See that each rental has been received and returned and all documentation is returned to job folder
· Train new-hire and subcontractors how to prep, test, maintain, and de-prep equipment
· Evaluate problems with equipment and perform or schedule maintenance
· Determine and implement improvements to the pulling process
· Implement standard operating procedures for warehouse operations and identify issues for improvement
SOFTWARE
· R2 for inventory management (we will train)
· Microsoft Outlook for communication, contacts, and calendars
· Microsoft Excel is a bonus
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
· Clean driving record
· Up-to-date Passport or willingness to acquire
· Stage and concert live event production experience
· Warehouse Management experience preferred
· Customer Service experience preferred
· General knowledge of musical instruments makes and models i.e., drums, guitar amps, keyboards, percussion, etc. This is paramount to the success of our operation. COMPENSATION
This offer of employment is for a full-time salaried position with 100% employer paid healthcare, 401K, and annual bonus. Up to $62K to start for the right individual.
