Corrugated Converting Supervisor

Position Overview:

Oversee and manage converting department crews to ensure optimal performance, safety, and quality. Responsible for daily operations, including production goals, quality standards, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and promote a positive safety culture.
• Production Management: Manage and optimize production processes to meet daily and weekly targets.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards, troubleshoot production issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the converting team, providing clear direction, coaching, and feedback.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all converting machinery, including flexo folders, die cutters, laminators, and automated equipment.
• Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall operations.
• Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including corrugator and shipping departments, to ensure seamless operations.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, prepare shift reports, and participate in performance evaluations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the corrugated industry
• Strong understanding of flexo folder gluers, die cutters, and other converting equipment
• Solid knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, including LOTO
• Experience with quality control standards and procedures
• Proficiency in computer skills, including operating systems and production software
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work various shifts in a 24/7 operations
• Knowledge of the ACS “Stars” location and inventory system is a PLUS!
• Experience with corrugator operations (preferred)
