Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Logistics Operations Manager to lead high-performing teams and manage key customer relationships in the logistics industry. This role will oversee service delivery performance, ensure operational excellence, and drive customer satisfaction through strategic leadership and strong communication. The ideal candidate will possess robust knowledge of financial and operational logistics processes, excel in people management, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
· Supervise, mentor, and develop teams of logistics professional
· Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and deliver ongoing coaching
· Drive accountability and foster a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement
· Conduct interviews, coordinate onboarding and training, and ensure employee engagement
Customer Relationship Management
· Act as the primary point of contact for key customers, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnership
· Quickly address and resolve customer concerns, offering proactive solutions
· Lead customer focus meetings and maintain open communication with customer and other stakeholders
· Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing customer accounts
Operational & Financial Management
· Manage daily operations to ensure on-time deliveries, inventory control, and order accuracy using WMS and other reporting tools
· Monitor performance metrics such as inventory accuracy, quality, cost and safety
· Prepare and present reports on financial, service levels, and KPIs
· Drive cost savings and operational efficiencies through process improvements and technology solutions
Technology & Reporting
· WMS Power User, ensuring accurate and timely system reporting
· Utilize logistics technology to track and improve performance across operations
· Analyze operational trends and provide actionable insights for decision-making
· Maintain and update procedure manuals to support ongoing process improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Proven experience in logistics, account management, or supply chain operations
· Demonstrated leadership abilities with success in team development and performance management
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
· Analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve problems effectively
· Proficiency in WMS, logistics software, and reporting tool
· Working knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
· WMS Certification, Lean Six Sigma Certification, and Project Management
· Experience with compliance regulations and customer service excellence initiatives
