Position Overview:
The Porter/Yard Maintenance position will provide onsite logistical and yard maintenance support. The Porter/Yard Maintenance must have good customer service skills. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft software, will support the successful candidate. The ability to work independently and be a responsible self-starter is essential for success in this position.
Shift: 3100 N. Comanche
Essential Functions:
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the yard
- Performing routine maintenance on yard equipment and facilities
- Inspecting and reporting any damage or safety concerns
- Assisting with landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and planting
- Handling and disposing of waste materials properly
- Recycling and salvaging materials
- Operating yard maintenance equipment
- Assisting in emergency clean-up and restoration
- Supporting other yard workloads as required
- Performing general housekeeping, cleaning, and sweeping daily or as needed
- Assisting with inventory management and organization
- Data entry
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft software
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work in ALL weather conditions
- Stand, walk, and sit for over 2/3 of the time
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel under 2/3 of the time
- Reach with hands or arms under 2/3 of the time
- Climb or balance under 1/3 of the time
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl under 1/3 of the time
- Talk and hear clearly
- Lift up to 50 pounds under 1/3 of the time
- Occasionally help reorganize spaces and help move small objects
- Work in high, precarious places under 1/3 of the time
