All Team Members are Hosts. Hosts are the first and last encounter the Guest sees. The Host's role is to enhance the experience by making every Guest feel welcomed, comfortable, and appreciated with a warm welcome and a genuine smile.
Duties and responsibilities:
Giving every Guest a warm welcome within five seconds of walking through the door.
When possible, open the front door for Guests entering or leaving the restaurant.
Use open table table to assign tables
Accommodate special seating requests for Guests whenever possible (highchairs, booster seats, handicapped Guests, etc.).
Upon seating, offer Guests a menu and rolled silverware and inform them of their Server's name. Inspect the table for proper presentation
Thank Guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Keeping the Host area clean and clutter-free.
Wiping down front doors and windows every 23 hours (more often if needed).
Cleaning menus and ensuring that Guests receive clean menus with no rips or tears.
Build relationships with regular Guests and greet them by name.
Requirements:
Must Work Sundays
TABC and Food Handler certified
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (at least eight hours).
Must have exceptional grooming habits.
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming smile
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
- Take reservations and manage waitlist during peak hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of food service procedures and etiquette
- Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- must be TABC and Food Handler Certified
