Access-A-Ride Evaluator (In office)
Salary Range : $35 - $45 per hour
ASSOCIATE DEGREE; BACHELOR DEGREE
STATE LICENSE
BILINGUAL
Must be available to work 9 am to 5 pm
Flexible; Part-time and or full-time
No physical work required. This position is an administrative (office) role
About the role : The Access-A-Ride Evaluator assumes part and / or full time responsibilities in an assigned facility. This is a professional position with the primary responsibility of evaluating Access-A-Ride applicants for program eligibility. Additional duties of an administrative nature are to be performed and as assigned.
Daily Tasks and Job Responsibilities
Conforms with the AAR MTA guidelines in formulating MTA AAR recommendations
Assumes responsibility in reviewing related medical records and previous recommendations (if applicable) that may influence the evaluators' recommendation
Assumes responsibility for the screening, evaluation and assessment of MTA AAR applicants that are scheduled
Reviews medical information and conducts screenings prior to evaluations to determine patient need for transport services and ability to benefit from the MTA AAR program
Coordinates / communicates with the AAR Supervisor in resolving concerns related to applicant's documentation and records that may influence the recommendation
Assumes responsibility for continual professional growth and development, by participating in continuing education programs, training programs conducted by the MTA and other appropriate learning experiences
Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures on a daily basis
Adheres to documentation requirements of the Rehabilitation department and the facility
Assumes responsibility in completing documentation within the acceptable time frame
Conducts staff training / education as appropriate via formal and informal in-services and consultations
Requirements
Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Associate Degree in License Practical Nursing with a current state license and registration. Must be Bi-Lingual with excellent oral, written communication skills and demonstrate competency in aspects of assessments and evaluation principles.
Bachelors and / or Associate's Degree, current state license, excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate competency in therapy treatment and evaluation principles, techniques, materials and equipment utilization and demonstrate knowledge of state and federal accreditation standards.
