Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

On the Move Pet Care, LLC is a professional dog walking and pet sitting company offering services in select areas of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes. Responsibilities: Our dog walkers and pet sitters are responsible for the well-being and overall care of our clients' pets and their homes and for managing clients' needs and preferences while adhering to our commitment to providing a highest standard of care.

Dog Walkers: We are looking for full-time, part-time and fill-in midday dog walkers Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 4pm. We are currently searching for midday walkers who are available to work within our walking radius (specifically in the City of Rochester, West of Rochester, East of Rochester and South of Rochester). Our clients are spread throughout the city and candidates must be willing to drive anywhere from 5-25 minutes from their home.

Pet Sitting: We are looking for staff who are willing to take pet sitting visits for a variety of animals in addition to walking schedules or as their exclusive role with On The Move. This can make for a full-time, part-time or fill-in/per-diem schedule. Generally, our pet sitting requests are for cats and dogs but could also be for aquatic animals, rabbits, Guinea pigs, chickens, reptiles etc. Pet sitting requests can range from early morning to late evening and often occur on the weekends as well With extra pay incentives for late night, weekend, and holiday visits.

Overnight: We do provide overnight services for our clients. These visits begin at 8pm and end at 8am. Availability for overnight services is not required but is highly preferred.

Pay: Pay is provided on a per-visit basis and starts at $10 for a 20-minute visit up to $18 for a 60-minute visit. A detailed pay chart is provided upon hiring. Overnight visits pay $60 - $75 a night. Average pay is $16-$18/hour with drive time included.

Requirements:

• Must have reliable transportation and smart phone
• Must be able to use required technology for job (Time To Pet App and Group Me App)
• Must be available for specified time according to position applied for (including some weekends)
• Must be willing and able to complete background check
• Must be willing to commit to a probationary period of at least 3 months
• Must be able to walk/be on feet for an extended period of time. A regular walking schedule can be anywhere from 1 to 6 miles of walking per day.
• - Most importantly. . . must love animals and their owners!
