We are currently seeking a qualified Tractor Mechanic to contribute to the maintenance and repairs of diesel engine units.
Responsibilities :
Routine Maintenance : Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on tractors, including fluid changes, filter replacements, and safety inspections of key components.
Diagnosis and Repair : Identify and resolve mechanical issues with tractors and trailers. Included but not limited to repairs of engine, hydraulic, transmission, electrical systems, brakes, A / C, etc.
Conduct efficient and effective repairs to ensure peak performance.
Recordkeeping : Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities. Utilize computerized systems for work order management, parts inventory, and tractor history.
Inspections : Conduct thorough inspections of tractors to proactively identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Collaboration : Work closely with fellow mechanics and team members to facilitate a smooth workflow. Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers regarding maintenance updates and repair timelines.
Emergency Repairs : Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, providing on-site repairs when required. Prioritize safety and efficiency in all emergency repair situations.
Qualifications :
Experience : Proven experience as a Tractor & Trailer, with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
Technical Skills : Proficient in diagnosing and repairing tractor components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and computerized systems, Fullbay knowledge is a plus!
Safety Focus : Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and working in compliance with industry regulations.
Team Player : Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team environment. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to efficiently diagnose and address mechanical issues.
Flexibility : Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations outside of regular business hours.
