Position Description
Position Title: Clinical Director
Reports to: On The Spot, Inc. (OTS, Inc.) Executive Director
Salary: $25/hour
Hours: Flexible, 20 hours/week.
Location: Street Medicine sites and Recuperative Care Center
Qualifications: Must have an active or recently inactive license in nursing, paramedicine or as an EMT and with preference given to an administrative background
Purpose of the Position:
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for helping OTS thrive, keeping in mind it’s mission “to endeavor to provide services, supplies and education to medically underserved persons with the goal of caring for immediate minor ailments in order to prevent catastrophic and costly medical conditions”. The incumbent manages and oversees volunteers and collaborates with staff members to fulfill the mission of OTS, Inc. The Clinical Coordinator uses independent judgment and looks at the larger picture to manage OTS, Inc. initiatives that help achieve long-term goals. The duties of the incumbent include ensuring the staffing and smooth operation of Street Medicine clinics and the Recuperative Care center.
Duties and responsibilities for the Clinical Coordinator include:
- Maintain and build the Volunteer program
- Assist with writing grants and ensure that grant requirements are met
- Maintain and enhance donor relations including presentations/speaking engagements
- Provide NARCAN training to volunteers and the community.
- Take inventory of donations and purchased materials
- Street Medicine duties include
- Evaluate existing clinics and build new clinics.
- Maintain and build relationships with community partners
- Ensure volunteer staffing at each street medicine site
- Ensure documentation of services including documentation audits
- Recuperative Care center duties include:
- Closely collaborate with local hospitals to support the Recuperative Care center
- Make all necessary arrangements for caring for clients in the Recuperative Care center
- Refer appropriate clients to medical providers including the Englewood Community Care Clinic and Good Samaritan Pharmacy
- Ensure documentation of services including documentation audits
- Build and maintain relationships with local health and community organizations
- Collaborate in capitalizing a social media presence
- Other duties as defined by the Executive Director and/or Board
Qualifications:
Have a passion to serve and have strong communication and organizational skills.
Be familiar with medical terminology and conditions pertinent to clients served in street medicine and at the recuperative care center (ie: communicable diseases incompatible with recuperative care, leaving hospital AMA, terminology of care provided in street medicine as well as basic medical supplies utilized)
Have strong leadership and planning skills, with an ability to self-manage
Be able to work well with diverse groups
Be able to motivate and engage volunteers
Have strong public speaking skills
Have strong technology skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
