Summary: Supervises and monitors the performance of assigned servers, ensuring that all procedures are completed to department and location standards. Uphold the highest standards of the company regarding cleanliness, professionalism and respect for others. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and long hours.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Ensures that members of the catering staff interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Hold staff accountable for timeliness, dress code, conduct and professionalism.
- Uphold California labor codes regarding staff breaks. Follow steps for reprimands regarding misconduct and communicate with upper management if further action is needed.
- Understand and execute safety and injury protocols.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pack for events as scheduled. Learn to follow the load list and add touches to elevate the display. Record improvements with adjustments to the list and pictures for future use.
- Arrive ahead of the service team to evaluate the set-up compared to the layout and adjust as needed.
- Oversees preparation of the venue for the event. Double checking layouts, rental contracts, timing, meal indicators, etc. to ensure you are prepared for the event.
- Be the key point of contact between the event coordinator, the venue, and the service team.
- Communicate challenges to find solutions.
- Ensure the venue is clean and that food is handled in a sanitary manner.
- Addresses problems or complaints concerning food or services provided.
- Execute at all events: pre-shift meeting, job assignments, overview of events and key points to execute.
- Assist with training new-hires at on-site events, assign a buddy for shadowing through the event.
- Meet with your Sales Manager (report to) for weekly debrief and support.
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Extensive knowledge of event planning and catering requirements.
- Ability to work with clients to determine and anticipate needs of the event.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work at a fast pace.
- Extensive knowledge of food hygiene.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with unexpected situations.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
