What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Department Associate position at On The Vine Marketplace?

Restaurant, grocery or butchershop experience is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Cutting, preparing, marinating, packaging various types of meat
- On the job training available, learn how to process the entire animal
- Help customers at the meat counter while producing
- Learn to operate various types of equipment including but not limited to: cryovac machines, meat tumbler, and meat grinder
- Be able to lift 50 lbs
- Flexibility to work in other departments
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications:
- You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately
- Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Effective time management
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
