Logistics Supervisor

SUMMARY:

The Logistics Supervisor directly oversees the employees of the Shipping/Receiving department and performs a variety of duties consisting of developing, implementing, and maintaining the shipping and receiving processes and the general transportation and warehousing of goods and materials. Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and warehouses system efficiently and safely. Works with outside customers or vendors to develop a schedule for the delivery of products or resources. Develops work order schedules in various departments to stock product and ensure the on-time delivery of orders.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for coordinating all of the inbound and outbound freight and small parcel shipments.
• Responsible for printing all documents needed for daily orders and freight orders, and coordinating the team to process and ship out in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the direct supervision of all shipping and receiving employees and meeting all quality and safety requirements
• Identification of inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and downtime issues, ultimately leading to improvement proposals and implementation of solutions
• Coordinates resources allocated for department and communicates needs to management.
• Coordinate with plant manager and HR for appropriate staffing levels.
• Oversees the replenishment and movement of goods and materials within the warehouse.
• Coordinates the movement of goods and materials between locations.
• Accurately receives in orders through the inventory system in a timely manner.
• Receives and processes small packages delivered through carriers and sends them to the appropriate department.
• Processes all returns which would include completing documentation, communicating status of returned orders, and restocking resalable items.
• Performs cycle counts and researches inventory discrepancies as needed.
• Schedules the emptying of garbage container so that it does not reach capacity.
• Ensure work area is clean and safe
• Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. The warehouse area is not climate controlled and can get hot during summer and cold during winter months. Must be able to hear, speak, reach, bend, twist, squat, push and pull. Must be able to perform tasks in a sitting position for extended periods of time.

PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

We are a family owned and operated, filtration manufacturer and distributor in Darlington and Manning, SC. We are rapidly growing and adding permanent positions.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
