Job Overview:
On-Time Medical Group is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated DUI/DWI Instructor to join our team in Maryland. This position will involve conducting educational courses for individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of DUI/DWI laws, addiction prevention, and effective teaching methods to ensure clients receive the highest quality education and support.

Responsibilities:
- Course Delivery: Teach DUI/DWI education classes in a clear, engaging, and professional manner. Classes may be in-person or virtual, depending on client needs.
- Curriculum Implementation: Follow the state-approved curriculum for DUI/DWI education, ensuring it meets Maryland’s legal and regulatory standards.
- Client Support: Provide guidance, support, and resources to students who may need additional assistance, fostering a non-judgmental and compassionate environment.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and completion of courses for all participants. Submit reports to relevant authorities as required.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Assess students’ understanding of the material through written tests, participation, and interaction. Provide feedback to students as necessary.
- Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date on all state laws and regulations related to DUI/DWI education programs. Ensure courses and teaching methods comply with the latest legal requirements in Maryland.
- Professional Development: Attend regular training sessions and workshops to improve teaching skills and stay informed about substance abuse trends, DUI/DWI laws, and educational techniques.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in criminal justice, social work, counseling, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching, counseling, or instructing substance abuse programs, preferably in DUI/DWI education.
- Experience working with individuals involved in the criminal justice system or in rehabilitation programs is a plus.
- Certifications:
- Must hold or be willing to obtain certification as a DUI/DWI Instructor as per Maryland state requirements (or equivalent certification).
- Additional certifications in addiction counseling or related fields are a plus.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various behavioral issues.
- Organizational skills to maintain records, documentation, and course materials.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check as required by state law.
