Job Description : The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of the warehouse. The Maintenance Technician will possess knowledge of building skills including plumbing, drywall installation, painting, low and high voltage electrical, basic welding and general building repair. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and racking in the warehouseFabrication or assembly or furniture or equipmentConsults with the Maintenance Supervisor on work that may require outside assistanceMove and relocate office furniture, make adjustments to desk, chairs or cabinetsRepairs light fixtures, installation and repair of electrical devicesReceive and respond to work orders of mechanical or maintenance issuesWorks with tools and other supplies necessary to complete tasksFollow corporate safety procedures at all times and complies with OSHA requirements and wear proper PPE at all timesUnderstand and follow instructions provided orally or in writingInspect and evaluate all mechanical aspects of the buildingOperate a variety of hand and power equipment in a safe and effective mannerRequirements :
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds of weight.Must have experience working on and repairing conveyorsMust have computer skillsMust have experience in box erector and tape machinery repairsMust be able to reach, push, pull, bend, walk and stand.Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.Strong leadership skillsSelf-Started with “Can-do” attitudeExcellent communication skillsMust be able to stand or lie for extended periods of time in order to complete tasksExperience with fabrication and weldingWilling and able to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, bending, standing, pushing and / or pullingWilling and able to work in high and / or confined work spaces; using scissor lift or cherry pickerWalking in the DC with great frequencyAble to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of buildingMust have attention to detailExperience, Education, and Training :
Degree or certification from a Technical School preferredConstruction experience is a plus not a mustBuilding Maintenance experienceForklift certification for sit-down propaneBenefits of working with us :
