On Time Staffing is seeking an Occupational Safety Lead for our warehouse in North Kingstown, RI! Hiring immediately!
Starting pay rate : $20-$30 per hour
Essential Job Functions :
- Assist in Planning and Implementing OSHA policies and programs
- Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
- Assist in Preparing educational safety toolbox talks on a regular basis
- Review existing policies and procedures with the Safety Manager, Bi-Annually
- Lead by example and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Collaborate with Safety Manager to set up new employee on-boarding process for safety
- Conduct risk assessments
- Collaborate with Safety Manager to enforce preventative measures
- Assist in Identifying process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
- Observe and Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with Safety rules and regulations
- Assist in preparing reports on accidents and violations and determine causes
- Oversee Safety committee and report employees’ safety concerns
- Assist and follow-up on all safety related repairs
- Assist with time sensitive filing of Work Related Injuries through First Report
- Assist with Safety Training (initial, annual and job transfer)
- Share information, suggestions, and observations with leadership to create consistency in safety
- Assist in investigating causes of accidents and other unsafe conditions on the job
