On Time Staffing is looking for Waste water Technicians at a large manufacturing company in North Kingstown, RI! Hiring immediately!
Starting pay rate : $19-$23 per hour
Position Overview :
The Waste water Treatment Technician will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the waste water line. The technician will operate and maintain a Waste water Treatment System and related equipment and chemicals to comply with local, state, and federal permit requirements. Performs WWTS maintenance and clerical duties, maintains chemical inventory, maintains and runs boilers, chillers, and RO water unit. The ideal candidate should know how to install and maintain company equipment. The technician will need to understand the identification of basic plumbing and electrical parts and possess the ability to assemble and wire those parts. The candidate should have strong prioritization and troubleshooting skills, with the potential and expectation to grow into management. The ability to work efficiently and safely are very important to this job. The technician needs to be able to work well under pressure, and must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written). The Candidate should be dependable, learn fast, and possess basic computer skills (Windows, Office, Outlook & Internet).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support in the waste water line, treat, and monitor the systems and water tanks ensuring the process is meeting the regulations.
- Perform waste water in-house testing and sample preparation for outside testing.
- Enter test results and maintain records of such test.
- Makes basic adjustments to pH, ORP, and TDS probes
- Makes basic repairs of pneumatic pumps, mixers
- Create job planning and material lists and monitor product inventory / procurement of parts
- Assist in waste water related systems improvement and preventive maintenance projects.
- Ensuring the quality of the industrial waste water and sludge leaving the facility meet EPA / ADEM standards.
- Perform required services, as directed by contractual obligations.
- Utilize and maintain company equipment in good, clean condition.
- Train and assist in the assessment of junior employees.
- Inspect the wash line and have it ready for operation.
- Willingness to take on all additional responsibilities that are assigned and / or support other departments if needed.
