Description

The Homebuilding Marketing Account Executive assists in initiating jobs for creative design from inception to completion including trafficking daily workflow and opening jobs to ensure delivery by deadline. Additionally, the Homebuilding Marketing Account Executive collaborates closely with the Marketing Manager and other Marketing Account Executives to support the efficient execution of marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for oversight of homebuilding related marketing projects for specific designated departments and companies for Colen Built Development

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following statements describe the principal functions of this position and its scope of responsibility but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.  Individual may perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Vice President of Marketing and/or the Marketing Manager  

  • Work exclusively with homebuilding entities, sales management and marketing agency to create and produce advertising materials that will effectively promote active new home communities with the intention of driving new and continuous customer traffic
  • Proof and edit all collateral including ads, brochures, flyers, invitations as needed
  • Proof and edit copy for website, ads and collateral
  • Manage realtor and community events with sales team
  • Attend developer sales and marketing meetings
  • Be involved in trade organizations and civic groups (Home Builders Association, SMC, etc.)
  • Participate in sales meetings and present new marketing ideas
  • Stay abreast of and report competition within the area
  • Solicit feedback from sales on wants and needs
  • Facilitate and manage monthly marketing meetings with homebuilding entities
  • Act as liaison between marketing department and outside vendors i.e.: media outlets, radio stations, newspaper, magazines, etc.
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager on all homebuilding and community specific projects ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget
  • Work within the marketing department to meet departmental needs as relates to daily work flow, including offering input to outside agencies to create materials, proofing materials to ensure accuracy, distribution for approval, monitoring edits and seeing all jobs through to completion for final delivery.
  • Coordinate with outside creative agencies for production of marketing related campaigns and various forms of creative for use to promote homebuilding initiatives, projects and new community offerings
  • Collaborate with Marketing management team on design of new models; including acting as liaison with other homebuilding departments and outside vendors to ensure timely completion of model parks and interior merchandising
  • Attend and assist in all marketing related functions including model grand openings, various internal and external events, future community site visits, company functions, etc., as directed by the Marketing VP
  • Responsible for the integration of marketing communications efforts for newly developed community offerings into social media; determine opportunities to improve use of new and existing social media channels to develop “followers”, facilitate branding and drive new business
  • Responsible for the development and programming of all social media monthly postings for assigned entities.
  • Continually assess our social media customer experience  to ensure that it meets the needs of our target consumers and communicates in the voice of each assigned entities brand
  • Develop customer management strategies to engage, service and deepen customer relationships on our social platforms
  • PR content development; identify news and other story angles, write engaging topics for editorial calendars and other social media efforts
  • Develop customer management strategies to engage, service and deepen customer relationships on our social platforms
  • Determine metrics of success and assess effectiveness of social marketing initiatives and investments; influence investment decision makers with formal recommendations and informal networking
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate media lists, editorial calendars, and speaking opportunity lists
  • Handle daily media monitoring and produces regular reports on media coverage and social media activity
  • Collaborate with sales management and others to respond to social media questions and comments
  • Order collateral materials including business cards for homebuilding entities
  • Log Marketing Request Forms for new and recurring job requests into Function Point for all homebuilding related requests
  • Distribute flyers to appropriate entities as needed
  • Maintain printing files, vendor files and miscellaneous files for homebuilding entities
  • Archive assigned entity jobs regularly
  • Willingness to assume new responsibilities and embrace opportunities as they may arise
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines for timely delivery of jobs.
  • Inform management team of any changes, potential problems or outstanding issues of concern.
  • Collaborate with team members within the department and companywide.
  • Represent the company professionally in a variety of environments
  • Meet deadlines and prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • In addition, the Senior Marketing Account Executive may be required to cross train for position(s) within the sales/marketing organizational structure.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Business and/or marketing related experience a plus. Associate’s degree in marketing a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working for a high-volume production homebuilding company

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Must be able to read, write and understand English and have superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a solid ability to write compelling and persuasive copy
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Computer literate including Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Graphic design background or experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop considered a plus
