The Usher is responsible for the friendly, courteous, efficient and effective welcoming of guests to the facility and guiding them to their designated seats.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greets all guests in a courteous manner, with a smile and direct eye contact and directs them to their designated seats
- Ensures the OTOW Experience for guests is positive by maintaining established standards
- Becomes knowledgeable of the facility and its amenities in order to effectively communicate with guests
- Maintains current knowledge of the lineup of upcoming events and shows
- Goes the extra mile for guests by offering to get the answers to questions they may ask
- May work in other functional areas to cover absences, provide relief, equalize peak work periods, or otherwise balance the workload
- Must be able to work weekends and occasional evenings
- Performs all duties in adherence to OTOW standards
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices
- Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1 years of customer service experience preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be able to read, write and understand English, have good verbal and written communication skills and write professional business correspondences
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Must be outgoing, self-confident, enthusiastic and motivating, with an understanding of human psychology, and possess strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- Microsoft Office skills preferred
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Ability to operate a calculator, copier, personal computer, fax machine, and telephone are preferred
- Ability to respond calmly to customer questions and concerns
- Strong humanistic skills, good judgment, listening skills and the ability to express thoughts clearly and simply are essential

Certifications and Licenses
A valid Florida Drivers License with acceptable driving history is preferred
