Position Overview
The Warehouse Coordinator is primarily charged with material management for fiber optic equipment and installation materials. This position receives, stores, ships, inventories, distributes, and reports on job-related materials daily. This position ensures all materials are traceable at all times in keeping with company and client procedures. The Warehouse Coordinator maintains impeccable material-related data in applicable inventory control software systems, reconciling all materials weekly. This position is responsible for issuing materials to technicians daily as needed. The Warehouse Coordinator monitors counts and coordinates orders with the Project Manager. This position also maintains the safety and security of all warehouse areas including all material storage areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for receiving, inspecting for quality, storing, shipping, and issuing of materials to assigned designation
- Coordinate receiving and shipping schedules with freight carriers and maintain all shipping and receiving documentation
- Pick up or deliver materials as needed or requested by the Project Manager
- Operate forklift or other equipment safely and efficiently to load/off-load materials; maintain forklift and other equipment maintenance records as assigned
- Ensure other team members follow processes to request and receive materials for jobs
- Accurately monitors and maintains warehouse inventory levels, returns, and re-stocking as needed, handling problems related to back orders, incorrect or damaged stock
- Perform Inventory Cycle Counts weekly on all materials
- Keep warehouse, tools, equipment, and outside storage/receiving area, free of debris, organized and properly maintained on a daily basis and in accordance with safety procedures at all times
- Maintain the Emergency Response Trailer with the required materials and verify/ replace stock levels each and every time it is used in the field
- Requisition and procure tools, materials, parts, and supplies in accordance with company guidelines and procedures and in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Follows established processes and documentation to ensure accurate data and traceability of all materials received and issued from the warehouse; Performs weekly cycle counts of inventory to reconcile with material management software data
- Provide regular reporting to management as requested and applicable
- Provide after-hours support for critical timelines
- Other projects or duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years experience in a similar role managing materials and inventory preferred
- Strong computer skills and knowledge; Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite, Adobe, and material/inventory management software applications
- Possess working knowledge of telecom supplies, materials, equipment, etc. to identify parts, materials, and equipment for ordering, receiving, staging, and shipping to operations centers
- Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment while maintaining attention to detail, staying organized, and meeting tight deadlines
- Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills who is comfortable in a cross-functional, multi-cultural environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with clients, contractors, management, and fellow team members
- Basic Math skills and data entry skills
- Knowledge and operational skills of various machinery such as booms, forklifts, etc is required; OSHA forklift certification required
- Current valid drivers license and ability to remain insurable under the vehicle liability policy
- The selection process includes a comprehensive background investigation
- This is a safety-sensitive position and employees in this position are subject to Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) and Alcohol testing
- Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends for occasional receipt of supplies or to meet critical deadlines preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, operating, and working with technical equipment and tools
- Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment & inclement weather
- Ability to utilize hand tools, identify wire size/color, and accurately utilize measuring devices
- Ability to complete tasks with small components and wires
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable and sustained use of your arms, legs, and moving your entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting, standing, lifting/handling of materials up to 75lbs, and safely negotiating elevated work and small spaces; must be able to wear required PPE
