What do Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) do?
Under the direction of the Director of Outpatient Services, and in partnership with other members of the rehabilitation team, the PTA provides professional therapy services to persons with with brain injury or other neurological conditions. Services include addressing the following person served needs:
- cognitive
- mobility
- psychosocial
- positioning
- motor functioning
As a transdisciplinary team member, this position also assists with:
- reviewing rehabilitation plans and making recommendations
- providing education and support to persons served and families
This PRN position primarily works weekdays M-F, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, to fill in scheduling gaps.
