What do Physical Therapists do?
Physical Therapist is provides advanced professional physical therapy outpatient services for persons with brain injury or other neurological disorders, including assessment and personalized intervention plans addressing:
•motor function
•positioning
•mobility skills
•wound care
•neuro-development
•perceptual and/or personal social development
In accordance with regulations and accreditation standards, and under the direction of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant provides professional physical therapy services to persons with brain injury. Services include addressing the following person served needs:
•cognitive
•mobility
•psychosocial
•positioning
•motor functioning
As a transdisciplinary team member, this position also assists with:
•reviewing rehabilitation plans and making recommendations
•providing education and support to persons served and families
•educating and training nursing staff on interventions to be performed outside of direct therapeutic treatment time
This PRN position provides services as requested and needed when vacations and leaves create scheduling gaps.
