Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Aerospace Product Test Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing functional and performance testing of helicopter hoists and cargo winches, ensuring conformance to blueprint specifications and adherence to quality standards. In this role, you will utilize hand tools and equipment for test adjustments, inspect parts and products for quality, and maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Experience in quality control/quality assurance, or experience using hand tools applies well to this position. No aerospace experience required.
This is a Monday-Friday 6 am-2:30 pm role. This is a union job. Starting pay is $23.75.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional and performance testing on helicopter hoists and cargo winches in accordance with blueprint specifications and established quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to perform necessary adjustments during test operations.
- Acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and certifications to effectively perform job duties.
- Inspect parts and completed products to identify and resolve any quality defects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems, environmental health, and safety requirements.
- Maintain tools, materials, and the work area in a clean and organized condition.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications You Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED with relevant experience
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed test instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, taking direction from experienced peers, leads, and supervisors.
- Strong communication, organizational, and intermediate computer skills.
