Job Overview Summary:
This is responsible supervisory work in directing the daily activities of the OnCall Patrol parking enforcement program. Work involves responsibility for the supervision of employees engaged in enforcing private property regulations, towing and/or booting of vehicles, and issuing manual and/or computerized violations. Employees in this position are expected to be able to perform any and all work tasks and comply with any work schedules or attendance or duty requirements, which may be established by OnCall Patrol. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief of Operations and is reviewed through observation, conferences, and analysis of reports.
Duties:
Plans, organizes, schedules, assigns, and supervises the work of a staff of employees engaged in parking enforcement activities; boots vehicles as necessary.
Coordinate the organization, staffing and operational activities of the assigned patrol zones including enforcing parking regulations.
Trains and instructs assigned employees in the efficient use of motorized vehicular equipment, completion of assigned routes, the proper interpretation of private property parking rules, municipal and state codes and ordinances related to parking, the operation of a parking management software and booting equipment.
Direct, coordinate and review the work plan for enforcement of parking regulations; meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities and projects; monitor workflow; review and evaluate work products,methods, and procedures.
Receives and responds to phone calls and emails from customers and/or staff; solves problems and addresses client concerns.
Assists in the development and implementation of effective and efficient enforcement methods, techniques, practices,and procedures.
Monitors the performance of subordinates and ensures personnel are abiding by the OnCall Patrol rules and regulations.
Coordinates with other staff members on signage, booting, parking holds/exceptions, and other parking needs.
Prepares and reviews reports of parking violations, logs, and investigates complaints and activities.
Requisition uniforms and other supplies as needed for patrol staff.
Conducts parking surveys and formulates recommendations for changes in parking assignments and procedures used in the enforcement of parking policies.
Performs information processing related duties on a computer/mobile device, including using available statistical packages or programs, encoding data, data entry and retrieval, word processing and spreadsheets, and routine computer operations.
Participates and provides suggestions in the selection, placement, evaluation, promotion, training, safety, appraisal, and discipline of assigned employees.
Maintain inventory of supplies including parking warnings, signs, and violation cards for assigned patrol staff.
Performs vehicle inspections on patrol vehicles and staff as directed by policy and/or as needed.
Performs related work as assigned.
Prepares and maintains reports, records, and related event histories; develops and monitors information databases.
Desirable Qualifications:
- High school graduate or GED equivalency with some experience in parking enforcement with supervisory responsibilities. Possess or be eligible to obtain a valid security license issued by the State, if appliocable.

Necessary Special Requirements:
If assigned duties require the use of a personal motor vehicle, a valid State issued driver’s license, and an automobile insurance policy that meets the minimum requirements of liability established by the State for property damage and personal injury coverage must be current. Ability to speak English and Spanish preferred. Work hours may vary and include nights, weekends, and on-call availability.
Working Conditions:
Work in an office/field environment; sustained posture in a seated position; travel from site to site in residential or commercial environment; work in inclement weather conditions.
