Standard Work Hours : 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Special Work Hours : Occasionally any time from 5 a.m. - midnight, occasionally overnight

Electronic recycling company that picks up and recycles retired electronic assets from businesses in and around the Houston area, as well as offering data security and destruction in compliance with our federal certifications.
Position description : The driver assistant will be tasked with the safe handling, packaging, and transport of IT equipment both to and from our warehouse. The driver assistant will travel in and around the Houston area with the option of traveling to our full-service area using a non-CDL box truck. When not out picking up equipment from companies, the driver assistant will be assigned to various warehouse duties with the option of being cross-trained in other departments of the company.
During a regular day, the driver assistant will have the following duties :
- Communicating with the logistics department to find out when and where pickups and drop-offs will occur
- Preparing trucks with necessary packing equipment to successfully make pickups and drop-offs
- Arriving at scheduled locations in a timely manner and communicating with logistics coordinator in case of delays
- Communicating with customers prior to and during scheduled pickups to report estimated times of arrival and find locations of equipment
- Packing equipment in a way that minimizes damage during transport and potentially having to stack equipment in unique ways
- Supervising a helper who will accompany him / her on all pickups and ensuring safe practices
- Keeping track of where pickups originally came from for receiving materials into the warehouse
- Being aware of the location of packing and shipping supplies
- Reporting pickup, warehouse, or truck maintenance issues to the logistics coordinator as soon as possible
- Following company policies and procedures concerning safety, time reporting, and other assigned driver duties
