- Key Responsibilities of an Industrial Electrician :
- Installation :
- Installing new electrical systems and equipment in industrial facilities, which includes wiring, conduit, panels, and motor controls.
- Maintenance :
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Tasks may include changing hoses and bearings, as well as greasing and cleaning equipment.
- Troubleshooting :
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on industrial equipment, including complex control systems.
- Blueprint Reading :
- Interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics to understand the layout and specifications of electrical systems.
- Code Compliance :
- Adhering to local and national electrical codes and safety regulations. This includes working with 480 volts or lower and ensuring ARC flash safety.
- Repair and Replacement :
- Replacing faulty electrical components such as motors, transformers, relays, and circuit breakers.

- Possessing a strong understanding of advanced electrical concepts, including three-phase power, PLC logic, and industrial control systems.

- You may be exposed to loud noises, high temperatures, and hazardous environments. Additionally, the job may require working in confined spaces or at heights.
