Overview:
Once Upon A Child Troy is looking for a creative and organized Social Media Manager to help drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and foot traffic through impactful online content. The ideal candidate is passionate about resale, family-friendly shopping, and community building.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a monthly social media content calendar (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X)
- Create and schedule engaging posts, reels, stories, and carousels aligned with seasonal events, promotions, and brand voice
- Grow and manage online community engagement (responding to DMs, comments, tags, and reviews)
- Photograph merchandise, new arrivals, store events, and create branded graphics
- Analyze insights and metrics weekly to adjust strategies for maximum engagement and reach
- Collaborate with the store team to promote trade events, sales, and in-store experiences
- Support paid ad campaigns (boosted posts, giveaways) when needed
- Stay updated on social media trends, resale industry trends, and platform updates
Requirements:
- 1–2 years experience managing social media for a business (retail or resale preferred)
- Strong content creation skills (photography, video editing, Canva or similar tools)
- Understanding of SEO, hashtags, and basic ad strategies
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Familiarity with children’s apparel and resale trends is a plus!
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business tools
- Light graphic design or video editing experience
- Basic knowledge of store events and community engagement marketing
Schedule:
- 10–15 hours per week (flexible, but must be available to post during peak hours and cover major store promotions/events)
Compensation:
- Hourly based on experience
