Benefits:
- All Employees will accrue Personal Time (PTO) at the rate of 3.8 hours earned for every 40 hours worked. PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Sick Pay will be accrued at 2.6 hours for every 40 hours worked. A maximum of 48 hours will be applied to each employee's policy and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.
- Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for children between 24-36 months of age
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
- Track children's progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Help with potty training
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience working in a licensed childcare facility
- Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential system
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as a mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
- Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
Salary : $16 - $19
