In the role of Medical Biller/AR Specialist, you will be integral to the financial health of our medical practice, ensuring accurate billing and collections. Reporting to the Billing Manager, you will utilize your core skills in medical coding, EHR systems, and medical terminology to manage patient accounts effectively. Your premium skills in DRG, CPT, and ICD coding will be essential for processing claims and resolving discrepancies. Additionally, your experience with insurance verification and basic accounting will support our goal of maintaining efficient revenue cycles. Responsibilities

• Manage medical billing processes, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with regulations.
• Verify patient insurance information and eligibility prior to services rendered.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, addressing any discrepancies.
• Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) and medical records.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and improve collection rates.
• Utilize medical terminology and coding systems (CPT, ICD-10) to ensure precise billing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in medical billing and accounts receivable management
• Proficiency in medical coding, including CPT and ICD-10
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management
• Familiarity with EHR systems and insurance verification processes
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle medical collections effectively and efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
