The Institutional Sales Representative uses product expertise to sell ONS’s innovative technology to healthcare institutions, physician practices, and oncology care centers. Develops prospect leads, conducts cold calls and sales presentations, qualifies customers, cultivates business relationships, and closes sales.
This is a full-time REMOTE (work-from-home) position. Occasional travel to the ONSE Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA throughout the year will be required.
Responsibilities
- Creates a diverse portfolio of clients across institutions, physician practices, and other healthcare organizations
- Tracks sales-related activity and updates accounts in CRM
- Provides sales and ad-hoc reports
- Maintains pipeline of prospective client leads
- Cold calls prospective clients
- Identifies key decision-makers within institutions and healthcare organizations and develops relationships
- Delivers virtual and in-person sales calls
- Presents ONS products via group presentations, product demos, and webinars
- Develops and executes sales strategies tailored to the client’s needs
- Regularly follows up and corresponds with business relationships
- Meets assigned sales quotas
- Develops in-depth knowledge of ONS’s product lines in collaboration with internal cross-functional teams
- Researches competitors and similar industry products
- Maintains current understanding of oncology nursing and patient care markets
- Travels to and represents ONS institutional as well as other ONS products at 4-6 conferences per year accounting for approximately 25% of workload.
- Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM applications
- Strong knowledge of pricing and value strategy and healthcare, oncology, and oncology nursing trends and technology
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
- Written and oral presentation skills including presenting information to managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to write reports, business plans, correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read, write, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, data analytics, and governmental regulations
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a healthcare-related field of study (An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements)
- 3 - 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales
- Experience in healthcare or technology, or in clinical oncology care is preferred
Pay Range:
Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) uses a market-based approach to pay. Pay rates are established considering the following factors: federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified periodically based on market analysis.
Anticipated Pay Range: $71,133 to $87,137 annually
