  • Oncology Recruiters is assisting a MD with their search for an APRN / ARNP / PA to join their team in Orange City, FL.
  • This is a permanent position, not locums.
  • Will be working for a single MD on a team with other APPs
  • Position : APRN / ARNP / PA
  • Specialty : Medical Hematology / Oncology
  • Location : Orange City, Lake Mary, Deland
  • Start Date : ASAP

Clinic and Rounding :

Outpatient Clinic : 3 days / week, 8a-5p; ~1 float day / month for cross coverage

Rounding : 6 weekends / year (8-10 patients per day on weekends)

Compensation : RVU based

APPs decide how many pts they are comfortable seeing. MD will size APP's panel accordingly. Patient flow is highly optimized in our clinics. We have great support staff and dedicated personnel that handle admin issues so APP can focus on seeing patients.

For example :

  • 60 pts / week ~115k / year
  • 65 pts / week ~125k / year
  • 70 pts / week ~135k / year

    • MD Introduction :

    Hi! I'm looking add a 3rd APP to join my team. We have a positive working environment, new office buildings, weekly CME time, good support staff, responsive managers, and a great attending..me! We provide high quality patient care and have fun doing it.

    Patient Panel :

  • Each APP has their own patient panel that facilitates :

    • 1) Better relationships between APP / patient

    2) Don't have to learn as many patients, deeper understanding of each patient's issues and treatment plan

    3) Higher productivity while maintaining high level of care quality

    Qualifications, for the right fit, we are looking for :

  • Prefer at least 1-3 years of experience as an APP in Oncology
  • Will also consider highly motivated new grads with some prior exposure to oncology
  • Comfortable seeing 2-3 patients / hour or building up to that
  • Patient, warm, courteous, and professional personality
  • Team player with positive energy
  • Good judgement for patient safety
  • Someone that stays up to date with continuous learning to provide the high quality care

    • Responsibilities :

  • PROACTIVELY prepare for next day by identifying abnormal results or issues regarding POC and discuss with MD the day prior.
  • Use UpToDate and NCCN guidelines to verify best treatment plan for your patients in conjunction with attending physician
  • Accurate same day documentation and order entry
  • Managing side effects and symptoms
  • Provide education to patients and families about cancer

    • Education :

  • We have weekly CME
  • AOCNP certification, if not certified should obtain within 18 months of starting

    Orange City : 24,000sf (Opened in 2023)

    Lake Mary : 24,000sf w / Integrated Drug Development Unit for research trials (Opened in 2023)

    Deland : 4,000sf (will be expanding to 12k sf in future)
