Position Summary
As a Manager, Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) at Oncor, you’ll oversee and lead a team of direct reports responsible for the operation of the PSOC located in Dallas, Texas. This role is responsible for the collection, analysis, and response to intelligence information, threat activities, security incidents, alarms, and emergencies. You’ll direct or assist PSOC response to security related incidents and the implementation of controls and processes for all areas of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Partners with internal and external customers to increase collaboration and information sharing.
- Provides direction and leadership to team of analysts ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage formulation, rollout, and updates to PSOC standard operating procedures.
- Manage the daily activities across the PSOC span of control.
- Identify risk and define and implement mitigation measures.
- Manage emergency PSOC response and crisis management, training, budget and staffing models, intelligence reports, threat bulletins, travel safety advisories, and after-action reporting.
- Manage intelligence support to events, personal protection, executive protection, and travel safety.
- Monitors and assesses security threats which may impact company operations and partners cross functionally to implement effective plans to mitigate such threats. Ensures effective process and controls to respond to security events.
- Foster collaboration and maintain partnerships with Law Enforcement, business partners, and vendors, ensuring effective coordination on security, emergency preparedness, and response initiatives.
- Oversight of alarm/camera/panel/reader monitoring for uptime and lead equipment issue resolution.
- Research and recommend security technology solutions, submission and tracking of service tickets for security and critical system repairs.
- Initiation and management of notification tools used to inform and activate crisis management teams and employees of emergency conditions.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance of team members and develop and implement training and coaching for new and existing personnel.
- Manage quality control checks to identify and highlight best practices in security operations through continuous assessment and improvement.
- Set clear objectives and is responsible for evaluating the team’s performance, motivation, and team’s professional development.

- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years with Security Operations Center (SOC) and access control along with 3 years of managing people experience required.
- Applicants with Professional Certification such as Associate Protection Professional (APP) are encouraged to apply.

- Able to advise and lead various teams composed of parties from across Oncor.
- Able to understand the overall picture and objectives of Oncor.
- Develop, implement, and administer PSOC policies, standards, procedures and provide the guidance required to support Oncor corporate security functions, operations and activities.
- Partner with stakeholders across the enterprise to develop and operate a centralized PSOC security program with strong headquarters-level governance.
