Senior Mechanical Estimator for a sophisticated GC in the Woodbridge, NJ region

Is a savvy and sophisticated GC, in business for nearly 45 years, building ground-up, renovations, and interior projects. Contracts are Design-Build, GMAX, negotiated, & shortlist competitive bidding for Manufacturing, Mix Use, Institution, Warehouse, Life Sciences, Health Care, Multi-Residential, and Data Center projects. Projects range from $5 million to over $500 million. Our client offers a Restricted Stock Unit plan, which means you will receive shares in a $4 billion company. What you will do
- You will be involved in pursuing new work through collaboration with design consultants, subs & colleagues on construction projects throughout the conception, design & budget development of Mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subs to develop comprehensive project scopes, accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs, develop GMAX proposals, and shortlist competitive bidding.
- You would be responsible for developing business relationships by "romancing" subs & vendors.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in construction science, structural or civil engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience.
- At least 8 years of GC Mechanical estimating expertise in mechanical systems and construction processes.
- A polished, professional demeanor with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Expertise in subcontractor/supplier bidding strategy, bid evaluation, and detailed estimating of Mechanical systems.
