Program Manager – Defense & Industrial Engineering
Location: Greater Cincinnati, OH
Salary Range: Competitive, based on experience
Clearance Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain or maintain a Secret Clearance
Schedule: Full-time | Travel required as needed
Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee and drive engineering and manufacturing programs related to ruggedized military and industrial products. This role requires deep understanding of contract execution, internal coordination, and client engagement across highly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily execution of program deliverables to meet or exceed contract requirements in cost, schedule, and performance.
- Lead cross-functional program teams from kickoff through closeout, ensuring aligned execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison with external customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support and lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and RFQ responses.
- Identify and mitigate program risks while supporting earned value management and root cause/corrective action strategies.
- Prepare program financials, monitor variances, and report status updates to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations (e.g., FAR/DFARS) and internal policies.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, applying Lean and Six Sigma principles when appropriate.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or Business preferred.
- 3 years of program management experience in defense, aerospace, or ruggedized industrial product sectors.
- Background managing full lifecycle programs with P&L accountability.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), proposal generation, and logistics planning.
- Strong understanding of contractual execution and compliance under ITAR and EAR regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- PMP certification or DAU Level 3 certification is a plus.
