What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resident Advisor position at One Church?
Resident Advisor
Do weekly walk throughs to provide feedback on cleanliness.
Create Wufoo work requests and follow through to ensure they are being received and worked on.
Orientation and Training: Assist in orienting the resident to their new house.
Setting cleaning expectations upfront.
Encourage residents to grow spiritually through prayer, Bible study, and participation in church activities. Hold a weekly Bible study on Wednesday mornings at 8:00 am.
Conflict Resolution: Be available to mediate any issues or conflicts arising during the resident's time at the church. Also, know when to direct them to HR to help resolve issues.
Evaluation and Feedback: Conduct mid- and end-of-term assessments to assess progress and contributions. Share constructive feedback and celebrate their successes regarding personal house issues.
Communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with Residents to build trust and rapport.
Tailoring Experience: Recognize that each Resident may have different goals and backgrounds.
Customize their experience based on their aspirations and needs.
Making the Most of Their Time: Help residents set realistic goals for their time at the church, balancing their contributions with learning opportunities.
Documentation: Record resident activities, evaluations, and feedback for their benefit and for the church’s future resident programs.
