Behavioral Health Clinician I (ASW)
Under the direction of the Behavioral Health Manager, the Behavioral Health Clinician I provides counseling services to individual patients, their families and significant others as well as group sessions by performing the following duties and responsibilities as described below.
Positions Available at Our Midtown and Arden Clinics
Essential Functions
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using strength-based approaches.
- Adhere to established department policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and follow-up sessions to assess progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients, setting goals, objectives, and discharge plans.
- Administer therapeutic interventions such as cognitive therapy, behavior modification, and stress management techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other therapists to address patient needs and coordinate care.
- Make referrals for patients requiring additional psychological or psychiatric services, including psychotropic medication if necessary.
- Participate in integrated systems of care, staff meetings, case reviews, and consultation/supervision sessions as required.
Additional Duties
- Initiates and takes on special responsibilities as required by grant funded projects and other program developed efforts.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Social Work
- State Certification as an Associate Social Worker (ASW), in good standing
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Active CPR and BLS Certification.

Experience in any of the following areas:
- Substance Abuse Disorder
- Maternal Mental Health
- Pediatrics (Youth)
- LGBTQIA and Gender Affirming Health

Bilingual, English plus any of the following languages:
- Spanish
- Dari,
- Pashto
