Dentist
The Dentist provides comprehensive, appropriate and quality dental care and treatment to patients.
This role is on-site at our Midtown location, Sacramento, CA (95811).
Dental Department Hours:
- Monday - Thursday, 8am-7pm
- Friday, 8am-6pm
- Saturday, 9am-5pm
- Sunday, CLOSED
The specific schedule will be determined at the time of offer and will include rotating Saturdays.
Essential Functions:
- Provide routine and emergency dental services, including exams, diagnosis and treatment plans, cleanings, general restorative procedures, crown and bridge, removable prosthetics, uncomplicated endodontics and minor oral surgery.
- Prescribe and interpret X-ray and lab studies.
- Administer and prescribe anesthetics and medications.
- Provide dental and oral health education.
- Ensure the delivery of all dental treatment and care is consistent with all regulatory, accreditation and professional standards, including clinic policies and quality initiatives.
- Demonstrate high degree of knowledge and competency in the practice of dentistry and associated charting requirements.
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency and appropriate confidentiality with patient charting and related recordkeeping.
Education/Experience Required:
- All licenses and certifications are to be kept current and in good standing with the CA Dental Board
- D.S./D.M.D. from an accredited dental school
- CA Dental License
- DEA license
- CA Board approved courses necessary for license renewal-CA Dental Practice Act and CA Dental Infection Control
- American Heart Association approved BLS Certification (CPR)
- 3 years of experience preferred
