We are seeking Revenue Cycle Specialist II to join our mission-driven team located at our clinic in Hood River, OR. This position is full-time (Monday-Friday), hybrid-remote (Hood River clinic), and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
The Revenue Cycle Specialist II position collaborates and facilitates revenue cycle activities that improve efficiencies and reimbursement to the organization. Areas of focus include following patient accounts through the billing process to the payor, engaging patients regarding their accounts, training staff about patient insurance benefits and optimal utilization of EPIC practice management and billing tools.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 3 years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience billing or collecting healthcare (medical, dental, or behavioral) accounts
- Knowledge of health care payers and regulatory policies and systems.
- Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and reimbursement requirements.
- Broad understanding of common insurance and payer types and authorization requirements.
- Work independently maintaining a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality using good judgment to resolve problems and challenges.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook), electronic health record software.
- Prioritize and organize work according to multiple and, at times, competing timelines
- Successful relationship management skills involving multidisciplinary teams in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Work effectively in an operation that expects and promotes teamwork and has demonstrated ability to work with ambiguity.
- Inspire trust and confidence, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences
- Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Associates degree in insurance Billing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field
- EPIC Resolute Billing knowledge
- In-depth understanding of Medicare billing codes, regulations, and procedures.
- Experience working for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

Compensation:
- Hourly/Non-Exempt: Starting $20/hr, Depending on experience
- Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
