The Assistant Grower Team Member will assist the Senior Growers with all aspects of plant growth and development. This role requires a strong understanding of greenhouse operations and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Core Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Horticulture or similar field
- Experience in greenhouse operations is an asset
- Excellent communication and follow-through skills
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, showing initiative and good judgment
- Flexibility with schedule and ability to work extended hours during peak seasons
Working Conditions:
- Work is normally performed in the greenhouse or open fields
- Some physical effort is required, as well as some exposure to physical risk
- Constant change in temperature from greenhouse to coolers and open fields
- Extended hours during peak harvest periods
