Role Summary
You will have 3 years of formal leadership experience along with experience in gas supply, contract negotiation, and CRM systems. You will lead a team of 5 direct reports and support large transport customers/key accounts for Texas Gas Service. You will have strong analytical skills and proficient experience in Excel. Some travel is involved with this position but mostly local travel for customer site visits. You will work a hybrid schedule with some days working in the office and some days working remotely.
What You Will Do
Oversees business development representatives to maintain effective account relationships, increase gas load, and provide value added services.
Serves as primary contact for key accounts, economic development contacts and governmental agencies.
Supervises business development representatives and other business development staff.
Pursues business opportunities with customers to increase gas load and promote natural gas usage utilizing company offerings, programs, partnerships, trade shows, economic development contacts and other services.
Develop marketing programs aimed at increasing gas load and value-added services through such means including but not limited to:
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Pursues military privatization opportunities within designated territory.
Works with outside consultants and internal peers to develop business case for acquisitions.
Presents commercial deal structures to senior management for approval of capital projects.
Actively coach, develop and mentor direct reports through the establishment of individual development plans.
Develops team plans to drive performance results, enhance overall leadership competencies, business performance and enhance collaboration across work groups.
What You Will Need
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, or related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and job related experience.
Thorough knowledge of operating and business development policies and procedures.
Experience working with local and state industrial economic development programs and improving trade programs.
Application of basic math.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and applicable software.
Experience and training related to public speaking and interpersonal communication skills and development programs.
Experience researching and preparing reports, advertising copy, budgets, and correspondence.
Experience developing information, conducting tours, and making presentations.
Experience reviewing and interpreting journals, publications, governmental regulations, pending legislation, and correspondence.
Experience interacting, negotiating, advising, and communicating effectively internally and externally.
Experience representing company in contacts with public officials and potential commercial or industrial customers and trade allies.
Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze potential gas markets and develop and present marketing strategies.
Experience leading, directing, training, and/or supervising.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Applicable driver's license.
Requires travel to various locations.
